I ask this question because im the type who rather have my teen be home with his friends over, who rather know where my son is,who loves the fact that he has made many friends in this new community we lived in for almost 2 years now.
But there are people who say its not right, there are people who says its against the rules of my community. that kids need to be hanging at the park or in my house, they even went as far as to tell me that i cant have them in my yard anymore or there calling cps on me. what law is it that says a person can not have company over the kids are making to much noise, some of the kids that come over are 3 and 5 and they cant make noise. i cant have them play with my daughter are you serous. what is this world coming too.
then i have neighbors complaining because my son hangs out with to many people, i say 5 or 6 friends he has that he hangs with and now there petitioning to get me kicked out of the community, i dont get it really i dont. you rather my son a 15 yr old and his friends hang out in the streets getting into trouble and hang at the park where children play. why i dont understand that my self. i always make sure there not loud after curfew i always make sure there in the house after curfew but what i dont get is why? why me? what im i doing so wrong?
i thought i was doing things right but now i feel i failed as a parent because they want me gone. should i stay and fight or should i go quietly? is it worth it to stay and fight? what would you do if you were in my shoes?

That's stupid! But some people are sadly just stupid!
One lady online I know that does Charlotte Mason homeschooling (who suggest many hours a day of outside play) had her neighbors call CPS on her because "they are just outside ALL of the time!"
People are stupid. You're doing the right thing in my opinion!

That's too bad! I can assure you that allowing your child to have friends does not mean you are a bad parent. Have you talked to your kids about this? It might be a good idea to talk to them about the situation and try to get their opinion as well. Hope you feel better, cheer up :)
